What I read (listened to) this week.
Does listening to an audio book count as reading it? I think it does but it seems to be a very divisive topic online. I started listening to audio books on my walks pretty recently and I love it, sometimes I will walk a little longer to keep listening.
Months ago I found this book by Alexandra Potter in a thrift store and have been working my way through all of her books – I think I am on my 6th one.
The last one I finished was called Love From Paris. I didn’t realise it when I started reading it but it is a follow on from The Love Detective, which I have also read. I have just started Don’t Forget About Me. It is one of her earlier books and probably my least favourite so far but I am still really enjoying it.
Before my Audible credits reloaded this week I started listening to Scrappy Little Nobody by Anna Kendrick. I bought it a while ago but had other things to listen to. She talks about life as a child actor but does it with a lot of humour. Its been a great listen so far.
What’s on my Spotify playlist
I watched Off Campus recently and the show has a great soundtrack, I downloaded a lot of the songs and have been listening to those while I drive.
My favourites are: Edge of the Earth, The Beaches, Rich by Bea and Cherry Pie sung by Ella Bright but originally by Warrant.
TV Shows we are watching
The new season of Reacher is out – I am almost done with it – it was another great season.
While on Prime I noticed an off shoot show from Reacher called Neagley. I am enjoying it and hoping there will be another season.
As a family we are watching Community and it is complete nonsense but it is perfect for our evening family gather in the lounge – we sort of watch while we chat, catch up etc.

What are you reading, listening to and/or watching.

Oh I love audiobooks! They haven’t replaced my physical books for reading but they are perfect for those times I’m driving alone or walking/hiking and want some noise/company. I mean sure I could listen to music and sometimes do but why not chip away at my huge piles of books I’d like to read “someday?” Plus some of the narrations are so good! I particularly enjoy listening to celebrity memoirs since they usually narrate their own and I love hearing their story in their voice. Most Sophie Kinsella books have been fun to listen to- I love those British accents!
