Weekly Wisdoms #40

This week was considerably calmer in comparison to the last few weeks. Emma’s outdoor hockey has ended for the seasons which makes our week so much calmer. I also decided to skip my Sunday walk just so I could lie in and start the day slowly and it was so good.

(Glimmers are micro-moments of joy that make us feel happy, hopeful, and safe.)

  • I finally got around to getting some packaging made for Emma’s shop goodies. I love so much how they came out.
  • I made a delicious butter chicken. Every time I make a delicious meal I am not sure who is more surprised, me or my family.
  • Jack made dinner twice. I LOVE that he is so keen to do this. it is such a treat having someone else make dinner.
  • Emma won another 2 gold medals at her karate competition on Saturday. She also helped out for the day and her Sensei sent me such a lovely message about how helpful Emma was. I am so glad she is finding her space in the world.

I have decided to change this section up and add in my favourite photo of the week. I love this photo of Kiara so much. It was taken 16 years ago during a weekend away.

I am joining up with the Word of the Week link party this week so my word for the week would have to be BREATHE. Since we got back from our June break it feels like life has been moving in 6th gear. It has not been particularly enjoyable but I am grateful my kids have the opportunities to do the things they love. But this past week felt like I was able to catch my breathe a bit. It felt a little less rushed and chaotic.

Word of the Week linky

Until next week!
