Emotions are still high (or low as the case may be) but we are slowly sticking out head out a little to start returning to normal life. Grief is such a hard thing to manage because it is not linear – you don’t go through the stages in order but rather it all happens seemingly randomly. This week I had a lot of rage (could possibly also be perimenopause) that I really didn’t know what to do with.
Glimmers
(Glimmers are micro-moments of joy that make us feel happy, hopeful, and safe.
- Emma had a market on Saturday and sold out! That has never happened before and she had a decent amount of stock. I am not complaining because I get to make new stock!
- I didn’t walk on Sunday and while I missed my group, it was special to have a slow Sunday where we just all did what we wanted to – which was mostly mooching around the house.
- I walked twice during the week and both were quite hard – I think it was just all the emotions but I still did feel better afterwards.
- It was Emma’s 12th birthday. She had a hockey match in the afternoon and scored both of their goals.
- This little fiddle leaf is actually about 6 years old – I started out really big but then the leaves all started falling off, so we cut it, then the puppy ate it and I thought it was done but I cut it done one last time, repotted it and moved it and look at it now.
- Eve has been away so we had 2 weeks to catch up on. My coffee dates with her are always such a highlight of my week. I had a lot to unpack!
I have also decided to start a new Link Party to celebrate our weekly glimmers. I would love for you to share a list of things that bought you joy the past week but it can also just be a post about the week, the day or whatever positive thing is going on in your life.
As per the Link Party rules – drop a link and visit a few of the other blogs and leave a comment.

Picture of the Week
Not the best photo – it was 5h30 – when she woke us up for her gifts 😂

Wise Words of the Week
Your dreams don’t disappear.

Until next week!

Your fiddle leaf fig is doing great! I never quite know what to do when plants start not doing well. I do not have a green thumb but I do try. Congrats to Emma on her very successful show. I bet you’ll have lots of fun making new product.
