I never did an update last week – it was such a busy week and we had to be at Emma’s karate competition before 7h00 last Friday and then Jack had a rock climbing competition. So there was just no time in between for an update, so this week will be a double whammy.
Glimmers
(Glimmers are micro-moments of joy that make us feel happy, hopeful, and safe.
- Emma got her South African colours for karatewhich means we go to Mauritius in September.
- We finalised Emma’s school admission. She starts next term.
- Jack entered his first rock climbing competition, he had so much fun and ended up doing so much better than he thought he would.
- I have been walking a lot this week – I managed to get 2 x 10km walks done!
- There was a lot of waiting for Emma’s turn at the karate competition so David and I went for a quick date breakfast.
- I ordered a gorgeous bunch of flowers from my veggie lady and it made such a difference in my office.
- Davids aunt, uncle and cousins were here for a wedding so we had a big family braai on Sunday.

Wise Words of the Week
Calm and stability are underrated.

Until next week!

Those are some really excellent glimmers! Sometimes life just has to come before the blog.
It does sound like you had a busy week! Well done to Emma with her Karate and Jack with his rock climbing competition. Lovely photos!
I like the idea of “Glimmers”! as an “oldie” I di try to appreciate each and every day as much as I can. I also have an Emma–my youngest granddaughter! Congrats to your Emma on her achievements
