What a week! We got back late Thursday and it has been go go go go since we woke up on Friday morning. The renovations are in full swing which is exciting but my house is a literal construction site which is making my brain twitch a little.
Glimmers
(Glimmers are micro-moments of joy that make us feel happy, hopeful, and safe.
- Rugby season kicked off on Saturday with a beautiful win by the Springboks.
- I walked a new trail with my group and it was such a tough walk but soooo good to be back out in the mountains.
- I am so glad we got our builders in a week before we got back so they could start with the knocking of walls down etc. Even though there has still been some banging, its been a lot less than it would have been. Also it appears super strength cement was used in the shower and they are on day 3 of trying to get access to the shower outlet pipe.
- I got back out to my local valley to get some walking in. It is very dusty but I can literally feel my body relax as I walk.
- David and I got a sneaky breakfast date in. We ended up at Spur, which is somewhere we usually avoid but we had the nicest cup of coffee and such a delicious breakfast.
- Eve and I had a catch up coffee and I heard all about her Leopard Trail hike and I am now even more excited for my walk in October.
- On that topic my hiking back pack arrived and I am so in love with it and excited to get out and train with it on.

For Ben. My father in law said goodbye to one of his dogs this week. They bought these dogs for Jack and Emma who named them Ben and Skye from Paw Patrol. Ben has been sick for a while but it was still a very sad day for us all.

Happy July! Ugh–I hate dealing house construction mess, but it will be worth for you in the end when you have things looking the way you want it. Your terrain looks very much like what I see here in Colorado. We have been very dry since winter, and sadly have a few big wildfires burning in our state. Hoping for a weather change and more rain!
Good luck with the home construction! Living with it is never fun but the end result sure makes you forget about the headaches leading up to it. It looks like you had some really lovely walks this week.
