What wild ride life is right now. There is so much all happening at the same time that I feel like a hamster on crack running on a wheel at a million miles an hour. I haven’t had time to write or read blogs and I miss it! I never realised how disruptive these renovations would be but we are finally seeing the light.
Glimmers
(Glimmers are micro-moments of joy that make us feel happy, hopeful, and safe.
- The kitchen is finished! Well almost. As of today, the pipes in the laundry sink still need to be connected which will them mean we can wash dishes in there and not in the kitchen which was one of the biggest changes we wanted. I absolutely LOVE how it all came out.
- Emma had a little internal karate club competition and won 2 gold medals.
- I walked – a lot. I should be walking 50km a week to train for my upcoming walk in October but I am just not getting there – its not a fitness thing, more a time issue but I am trying.
- We had lunch with David’s aunt and uncle on Sunday, they were here from Cape Town and we found such a lovely spot with amazing food and a bakery that had the best sourdough bread we have had.
