Weekly Wisdoms #84

Can you believe August is here already. It is time to start planning for Christmas (if you haven’t) already. Now that our renovations are wrapping up, its time to start prepping for our upcoming Mauritius trip and my walk. Things definitely aren’t slowing down here.

(Glimmers are micro-moments of joy that make us feel happy, hopeful, and safe.

  • David’s airshow was a huge success. The day went off so well. I am not sure all the stress was worth it but it was a huge achievement.
  • At the airshow I won a brand new Kenwood mixer. Jack and I were beyond excited. It has been used almost every day since we got it.
  • Emma did a karate display at the airshow.
  • I entered another I Love Boobies challenge for October, which is also when my hike is.
  • They finished our outside braai area. It came together so nicely and finally we can use this space that has been a mess for so long.
  • I had 2 really good walks. I am definitely feeling like I am getting stronger.

  1. Now that the boys are older, I don’t typically give Christmas a thought until after Thanksgiving here in the states (end of November). I used to try and have everything bought and set for Christmas when they were younger but I buy so much less now and we buy for so far fewer people that we don’t really go all out on anything anymore. Not even our decorating takes us all that long. So glad the airshow was a success and congrats on winning the mixer!
