I haven’t done a word of the week in way too long. There has just been so much happening at the same time that I was feeling incredibly overwhelmed but I am seeing the light at the end of the dusty tunnel!
The kids bathroom is finished.
The kids toilet is almost finished – we had switch out the toilet and it needs to be painted.
The kitchen is finished and I am so in love with it. I baked on the weekend and had so much space for everything. It was delightful – I almost considered becoming a food vlogger.
The laundry is almost done – hooks and shelf is arriving today or tomorrow but the wash basin and washing machine are working.
The downstairs bathroom should be done by Wednesday – they just have to put up the cabinet and basin and paint but the walls had tiles on and so smoothing them out has taken ages.
They have started prepping the other walls for painting once everything is done.
Our outside braai has been demolished and is ready to be rebuilt.
I started on the garage last week – its a huge job – it has years of rubbish piled up – things we thought we would use but haven’t and won’t.
There is still dust everywhere and they still need to start on my bathroom but I am feeling calmer and it is so much fun watching it all come together.
David’s air show is this weekend and it has been a very stressful 6 weeks of planning, organising but they are about as ready as they are going to be.
Emma is doing so well at school – she has really just taken to it like she was always in school.
Jack has started with a chess coach and is absolutely loving it and getting so much better.
Our Mauritius trip is booked, we have the tickets and seat numbers for the flight and Emma has started extra training to prepare.
I am making solid progress for my walk – I have been walking with my pack and new shoes. Walking with the pack was tough to start with but now I am managing must better.
I hope your week is full of positive PROGRESS.

I am joining up with the Word of the Week link party Check it out and join the part too!

Welcome back Laura, I find any kind of home renovation extremely stressful, it’s so lovely when it’s all done though. I’m glad Emma is doing well at school and Jack with his chess. I hope you have a wonderful holiday, is it soon?
Yay to getting all the jobs around the house done! Your kitchen looks amazing! It sounds like you have had so much going on. I hope the air show was a success and how exciting to have a trip to Mauritius to look forward to.
