Weekly Wisdoms #39
I was late writing this post because I woke up on Friday with a parasite trying desperately to take control of my body. So spent the day between my bed and the loo. The positive though? I had 2 fasting days this week! Fortunately it was just a 24hr thing and left as quickly as it arrived.
Glimmers
(Glimmers are micro-moments of joy that make us feel happy, hopeful, and safe.)
- I got out for 2 walks this week. It is so lovely to see little signs of spring everywhere – we just need some rain now. It is so dusty.
- I spent a lot of time with my Cricut, printing so many stickers and goodies for my journaling.
- Jack and I are back into our regular Culture Coffee visit. That’s where I spotted the heart in the tree pic below.
- During our weekend away one of the ladies made quinoa and it was delicious. So I have been trying to make it. I think on the 3rd try I figured out the trick – it takes 7-10 working days to leave it to puff up. But I think I have it now and made a very yummy salad with it.
- I had my last therapy session this week. (I think). I have let a lot go over the past few weeks and worked through some stuff I was holding on to, or trying to figure out. I feel so much lighter now. My therapist will always be there but for now I think I am ok.
- The kittens are getting so big, we are still struggling a little with Kobe but they are have access from Jacks room to go outside so they are living their best cat lives.
- The selfie with Kobe and I was taken one evening – we were in bed, he had just had a fight with David over who actually gets to sleep on David’s side, then came to me and when he saw me taking the photo he got so crossed, he moaned and went to lie on the floor.
Picture of the Week
I have decided to change this section up and add in my favourite photo of the week. This is one of my favourite photos of Cameron and Noah. He had such a special relationship with this little guy, makes me sad that Noah won’t really remember him.

Wise Words of the Week

Words of the Week
I am joining up with the Word of the Week link party this week so my word for the week would have to be PEACE. It has been very emotional around these parts for the last few months as we navigated a lot of firsts but this last week I felt such peace about so many things. It felt like things just started falling into place.
Until next week!

I’m glad you are starting to feel some peace. It feels strange that your firsts are the signs of Spring while in my country we are seeing the first signs of Autumn! I’m glad your bug didn’t last too long, I was in the same boat this past weekend.
I am glad you are feeling better now.
That is good you are feeling positive after your therapy.
Aww! What a lovely photo of Cameron and Noah.
Sorry to hear you were unwell and glad you are feeling better now. The therapy sessions sound like they’ve been really helpful for you. I’m glad you’re feeling lighter. What a gorgeous photo of Cameron and Noah. Peace is a lovely word for your week. I’m glad you’re feeling more at peace at the moment. #WotW
Lovely photo of Cam, he’s just as I remember him. I’m glad you are starting to find some peace Laura, never say never to therapy in the future though, don’t let life become a struggle x #wotw
