Right, full disclosure before I start this post – I got the idea for this post from my good AI friend, Claude. He did not write the post but I was looking some inspiration and so we had a chat and this was one of the topics he came up with and I loved it.
The full prompt is The Brave List” – Things you’re finally courageous enough to try, say, or pursue after 40. Isn’t is just such a great prompt?
I have spent a few days thinking about what I want to add to My Brave List. I think this might be an ongoing list but these are the things I would like to be brave enough to do.

My Brave List
- Write a book – I have an idea for this one – but I have had a million ideas over the years for this one to be fair. I would like to get it done now though.
- I want to do both of these hikes. I would really like to get one of them done next year.
- I want to join a local Action Netball team. I have made steps to action this already.
- Go on a horse riding trail. This is a little cheat add because my walking group is planning this for September, so I suppose the thing is I want to be brave enough to say yes when it happens.
- I want to finish my Menopause Coaching course and start helping other woman to navigate this season of their life.
- I want to learn how to garden properly – I really want to get my vegetable garden established.
- I really want to see the Masai Mara migration – this has been on my bucket list for many years.
- I want to swim in the ocean again – I am currently a little nervous but I wasn’t always and want to try it again.
- I would love to watch a Springbok rugby match against one of the strong teams – France, New Zealand etc.
- I want to wear my costume in public and not care.
- I want to scatter Cameron’s ashes. I am brave enough just yet to even think about this.
What is on your Be Brave list?

What a great idea for a list; I’m not sure what would make my list though. Admittedly I am pretty wimpy and don’t push myself to be brave very often. We’ve been to Acadia national park 3 springs in a row now and I have yet to talk myself into hiking the beehive trail; so maybe something like that?!
LOL I am actually pretty wimpy too and my default is to rather say no but maybe this will get me out a bit
Aww Your last one really got me. You will be brave enough one day. I share your book wish. I did publish a book but it’s non fiction and all about my condition. I am writing a fiction book but I’m currently on my third attempt as it’s so difficult. I’ve had so many ideas over the years. I will do it one day as I’m sure will you.
