Share our Lives: An Average Day in the Life

I haven’t done one of these in many years so I thought it would be fun to join in with My Slices of Life.

This is what an average Tuesday looks like in our life.

6h00: Cocoa and I headed out for a hike. When I started this walk I wasn’t sure how far I was going to go. I really wanted to do the whole 5km loop but I haven’t done it in a while. But when we got to the crossroad of going back or carrying on, I decided to push through. I am glad I did because the last part wasn’t as hard as I remember it being and it was so gorgeous.

7h30: Got home, made breakfast, had a bath and got ready for the day.

8h00: Started working and prepped some stuff for Emma for school. She is starting 3 big projects so I made some fun titles for her books with my Cricut Joy Xtra. Jack is taking a break from school for 2 weeks so it was a little calmer this morning, so I could get work up to date. (I work with David – he is in Aviation finance, events and marketing).

10h45: Dropped Emma off at therapy and then back home to carry on working and make lunch.

12h00: Fetch Emma. Grab a quick lunch.

12h30: Dropped the car off at the car wash next to the coffee shop Jack and I spend a few hours at every Tuesday. I work, he plays chess or draws.

14h15: Take Jack to art. Then fetched a book for Emma at her friend nearby and then headed to pick David up from a meeting.

15h00: David had another meeting to get to, so I Ubered home. We only have one car so some days it feels like a game of tetris.

15h30: Home. Emma and I decided on dinner – Tomato Soup which I made then it was chill time.

16h45: David got home with Jack, we ate and watched the last few episodes of Running Point and just chilled together while it rained so beautifully.

20h00: Up to bed. I watched too much TikTok but still got to bed early enough.

Even though the kids do have set activities each day, our days can look quite different in between that.
