DIY Easter Bags

We aren’t really religious, we don’t go to church so, for us, Easter is about the long weekend and chocolate. I am also a type B mom so some years there is an Easter egg hunt, others there is a pile of eggs. This year, however, I have my Cricut so decided to get a little creative.

Emma spent the long weekend with her friend who is not Christian but I didn’t want Emma to miss out on getting her chocolate so I made up a bag for each of them.

This was the first project I did with my new Cricut press and I am obsessed – I now want to iron on EVERYTHING!!! It makes it so quick and easy.

Materials

  • 2 x canvas tote bags (I got these ones from Scrap-A-Doodles)
  • Black iron-on vinyl
  • Pink iron-on vinyl (or whatever colour you want)
  • Cricut Maker (or you could use the Joy Xtra)
  • Cricut Press (I have the 9×9 one but any size will work or even an iron)

I absolutely love how they came out. It literally took me 20 minutes to get them both done – the longest part was the weeding!

You can find my project on Design Space here – all you need to do is change the names and you are good to go!
