As much as I love writing blog posts with no prompts, these type of posts are such fun ways to keep track of whats happening.
So I am joining in with this Whats Up Wednesday Link
What We’re Eating: Lots of delicious comfort food. I have been making stews, soups and lots of indulgent but nutritious meals. I do love winter cooking because it is so much simpler than summer foods – I just throw a few things in the slow cooker or instapot and dinner is done.
What I’m Reminiscing About: These images popped up on my Facebook feed. It was train trip we took years ago – Kiara looks about 3/4 year so it was about 17 years ago. All of these kiddos are now working or almost finished studying (or no longer with us.)

What I’m Loving: Winter. I am totally loving this bitterly cold weather. Winters in Pretoria are gorgeous, they are cold but the days are beautiful and clear and sitting outside in the sun is pure bliss.
I am also enjoying getting back out onto my mountain for regular walks. The trail is dusty and dry but still so gorgeous.

What We’ve Been Up To: Gosh, so much. We traveled most of June and who knows where July went. The kids have both added activities to our schedule and work has also been busy so its been go go go since we got back from our holiday.
What I’m Dreading: August. It will be one year since Cameron died.
What I’m Working On: Trying to get Jack’s school sorted. I thought we had it done, but the curriculum I chose for this year is not working for us. I think I have a solution but I just need him on board.
What I’m Excited About:Â
What I’m Watching/Reading: I was watching the Bear. Then I finished Bosch and watched Ballard straight after it – both were really good. I am now re-watching Life in Pieces because it is very funny and I need a little humor in my life right now.
What I’m Listening to: Sapphire by Ed Sheeren – on repeat. Listen to it if you haven’t already.
What I’m Wearing: As much as possible! I am all about the layers right now – hoodies, jerseys, scarves – as much as I can put on and still walk comfortably.
What I’m Doing This Weekend: There is a vegan expo on this weekend that I want to go to and then my weekly walk with my ladies group.
What I’m Looking Forward to Next Month: Honestly, nothing – see above things I am dreading.
What Else is New: Not a whole lot that I haven’t already shared.

Your mountain walks look so lovely. I”m not excited about winter but loving our summer right now. I like The Bear but haven’t seen the new season yet. Stopping by from Talking About it Tuesdays!

Those adorable kids caught my interest and your day to day experiences reminded me of life when I was younger. It’s fortunate you are so in-touch with your feelings (that creates healing) and will keep you in my prayers this Aug. I lost my son in 2018 and I live through Decembers one day at a time-even now.
