I went up and down on a word this week. It was one of those weeks where a collection of blergh things happen but nothing bad enough to make it a terrible week. The one word that stuck out was FRUSTRATION.
It was a frustrating week.
I am struggling with a few issues at work for clients and it is frustrating. We submit, comply etc and yet we are not actually moving forward.
I bought a new sleeveless work out top – it was an XL but was still super small for me. I know its a sizing issue because it fits Emma (my very normal sized 11 year old) but it was still frustrating.
Last year some time my laptop stopped working so I started using Emma’s. She never uses it and for months it has been fine but we can’t load Windows 11 on it and I keep getting notifications support will end or something. Then end of last year (like end December) it started really slowing down. So I removed some files and somehow disconnected by google drive and ended up losing a few files. Fortunately my new device arrives today.
I have a few email accounts, I have been trying to consolidate them. Eventually loaded them all to gmail this week and ended up losing 6 weeks of emails on the one account, which really wouldn’t be a huge issue because its not a work email BUT I need one of the emails for a meeting today.
Related to the above email and meeting – the meeting is with our complex auditors to finalise the financials from end 2024! We have been trying to sort this out for 6 months but are no closer to a correct solution. Hopefully todays meeting gets us the solution we need (and paid for).
I am tired of the food we eat. I suspect this is just because I am frustrated in general. I keep our meal plan pretty simple and we eat a lot of the same food – its easier, quicker and works for Emma’s sensory issues but its getting boring and making me not want to cook.
Kobe has developed a rash. Which means a vet visit. Which means money.
I can’t find anything to watch! Part of my routine is to watch something every afternoon while David is walking the dogs and Emma is out at her extra muruals – its an hour of calm where I can decompress from the day and watch something. But I don’t want it to be something heavy – just something easy to watch. There is nothing that I haven’t already seen. (Yeah I know this is first world problems.)

Let’s hope next week is less frustrating!
I am joining up with the Word of the Week link party Check it out and join the part too!

I chose the same word as you this week, although your week sounds a lot more frustrating than mine.
Everything annoying seems to happen at once sometimes.
I can relate to the meals and cooking, my lot are fussy eaters, and our menu is limited. It has made me dread cooking or even choosing what to make.
I hope next week is a much better one and all the frustrations get resolved.
It was a bit funny that I had JUST read Angela’s post before clicking over to yours. What a week for frustrations I guess. I hope next week is less frustrating for you as well.
The emails do sound frustrating, I hate having to sort everything and anything computer related. I hope you managed tog et everything sorted in time for the meeting. I get fed up with never finding anything to watch on the TV desire having 1000’s of channels to watch. #wotw
I can relate to all of your week. Accounts is the bane of my life. It should be such a straightforward thing, but it isn’t. Your IT problems sound so familiar too. Clothes sizing is meant to frustrate. That is the only answer. I wish women’s clothes used measurements like men’s clothes, rather than vague categories such as SML or random numbers. Hope Kobe’s rash is easily sorted out. They can be so stoic, so it’s hard to tell what’s happening.
I did chuckle a little bit that you and another poster had a frustrating week, if I’m honest it could have been my word too! Must be the time of year. Don’t start me on clothes sizes! I can also scroll through hundreds of TV channels and find nothing to watch.
Ugh! A frustrating week is not good at all. I hate it when all those things add up and make it all feel bleurgh!
The technology frustrations are the worst!
Sending love and hugs! I hope next week is better soon.
I guess my drained week could be put down to frustration too! Maybe there was ‘something in the air’ as my dear mum would have said. I hope the meeting helped to resolve a lot of things and that Kobe is okay. When I can’t find anything to watch I pick up a book. But if it’s television I really want then I look at older stuff, and maybe even dubbed stuff (Which some people don’t like but I’ve found some real interesting things to watch.)
Sorry to hear that you’ve had a frustrating week. That’s crazy with the sizing of the top – I’d be frustrated by that too. Computer issues are frustrating too. Hope you managed to get things sorted out with your auditors. I can relate to getting bored with meals. We do a meal plan each week which helps a little but there’s not a lot of variety when we’re trying to work around what the kids can/will eat. Hope that this week has been less frustrating for you. #WotW
