For someone who works very, very hard at creating a calm routine, the past 2 weeks have been crazy. The kids have had commitments, I have had commitments, David has had commitments – all positive but still tiring. Emma’s school starts next week so we can get back our proper full time routine.
Glimmers
(Glimmers are micro-moments of joy that make us feel happy, hopeful, and safe.)
- Emma a hockey clinic on Saturday and she loved it so much we have now added outdoor hockey to her activity list.
- We added two kittens to our little family on Sunday. Jack has been asking for a cat for ages and when I saw these two, I knew they were it. We hadn’t planned on 2 but they came as a sibling pair so what were we to do.
- I walked twice and this will never not make my glimmer list.
- A friend and I met up for coffee – we haven’t seen each other in ages so it was a nice catch up.
- We had an event last night and it was another huge success.
- During my walk on Sunday I had such a great chat with a the organiser about health and wellness. She firmly believes that our bodies know what to do, we just need to add support sometimes. It was so reaffirming for me and she gave me some great tips on a few things.
- Have you heard Ed Sheeren’s new song Sapphire? No? Go NOW and listen. Even better go to TikTok and search it and watch all the videos of Indian men and woman dancing to it in their colorful, beautiful clothes – I have it playing on repeat when I am in the car. PURE JOY!
My Weekly Wisdom..
I set myself a little challenge to try and write a blog post every day for 100 days. Today is day 5!
So I am taking a little break from sharing a wisdom today – you can read about my childhood, my Brave list and my favourite TV shows to watch.
Picture of the Week
I have decided to change this section up and add in my favourite photo of the week. Little cutie pie – I have no idea if this is the girl or the boy but it is super cute.

Wise Words of the Week

Words of the Week
I am joining up with the Word of the Week link party this week so my word for the week would have to be COMMUNITY. This week there have been a lot of signs from the universe – I wrote in my newsletter about the signs to be brave but there were also signs about community. One of the things I realised after Cameron died was the community I had behind me – the people who showed up for me and my family. I saw it again this week, just in the every day of my life. The people who are there for me. During a coffee this morning I started tearing up, the lady I was with is a very very new friend and we were actually meeting formally for something. But she knows my story – she said “Its f8cking unfair, cry if you need to.” and then we cried a little together and it was just what my soul needed.
Until next week!

You’ve had lots of lovely glimmers this week, it’s lovely to read about them.
Kittens always bring happiness and a little chaos with them. I hope they are settling in nicely.
I love the wise words you have shared this week; it’s exactly how I feel about my daughters.
Good luck with your 100-day challenge.
Community is a great word for your week. I’m glad you had support and could exchange tips. I know I’m grateful for my community. How lovely to have new kittens. Too right that you had to take the pair. I hope they are settling in well.
It sounds like things have been hectic!
That’s good that Emma has added hockey to her activity list and how lovley to have 2 new kittens. They’re adorable!
Daughters are amazing things! I think the same about my two as well!
I’ve read your other posts too, I think posting every day for 100 days is very ambitious. I adore the kitten picture, who wouldn’t.
Oh your new kittens are absolutely adorable. Hope they are settling in well. Good luck with getting back into routines again after your busy week. Walking is something that is a glimmer for me too โ itโs so nice to get out for a walk somewhere. Community is so important. Iโm glad that you had the space to cry with your new friend. It means a lot to be able to spend time with people who can empathise and hold the space you need to talk and to grieve. #WotW
I’ve met a couple of new people recently, including my new employer this week and they’ve been so kind that the tears have just come and it helps. Two kittens, sounds fun and mischief. I hope Jacks up for the litter training. A blog post a day for 100 days is a fun challenge, good luck with it. #wotw
Those kittens are too cute and of course you had to have both ๐ A sense of community, however that presents itself if very important. Love the wise words, I feel the same about my daughter.
