And just like that we are back to normal programming. School is back for both kiddos, everyone is back at their desks work wise, 2026 has begun. Sort of. The year of the horse officially only starts on the 17 February, so if things are still feeling a little weird – that is why.
Glimmers
(Glimmers are micro-moments of joy that make us feel happy, hopeful, and safe.)
- We had such a lovely walk on Sunday, it was a new trail for me which is always fun.
- It was David’s birthday on Sunday so we went out for brunch after my walk. It was such a lovely morning.
- I managed 2 solo walks AND even ran a little on both walks. I have never had any interest in running but (and this does sound weird) my body want to move more, so I tried and I didnt suck completely and also didnt struggle as much as I thought I would.
- I finally go around to my vision board for the year – I had so much fun doing it.
- I created these fun little planner stickers – love how they came out.
- Jack’s cat has very little time for me. He actively and outwardly shows his disdain for me. But when I got home the other day he ran to the wall and said hello.
I have also decided to start a new Link Party to celebrate our weekly glimmers. I would love for you to share a list of things that bought you joy the past week but it can also just be a post about the week, the day or whatever positive thing is going on in your life.
As per the Link Party rules – drop a link and visit a few of the other blogs and leave a comment.

Picture of the Week
We had the most beautiful day for our walk on Sunday. The views were so stunning.

Wise Words of the Week
Maybe this is the point. I hope it is.

Until next week!

Well done on your lovely walks. It’s nice to find a new trail. I like the idea of a vision board for the year. Your cat reminds me a lot of one of mine!
It is nice to get back to normal when everyone is where they should be.
Happy Birthday to David! All the walking sounds good and I love your vision board!
Love the view from that walk. So much nicer than the miserable drizzly grey skies we have int he UK at the moment.
I like the thought of “glimmers” and I’ve been trying to notice more of them in my day. Today is was waking up to a bit of snow–we are way behind in snowpack in Colorado this winter. Now it is bright sunshine and listening to the snow on my roof drip, drip, drip 🙂
I love the vision board. It looks fab. I love my solo walks, really helps clear my head and I love my alone time. I also love my running, makes me feel so alive, it’s great to combine both when out and about. #project365
Your photos from your walks are beautiful. Please send some of those blue skies over here to the UK.
Happy birthday to David. It sounds like he had a nice day.
I love the planner stickers; mine would be full of the coffee ones every day.
That picture from the Sunday walk is gorgeous! What a lovely sunny day. Well done for walking, I have the same opinion as you about running, walking is nice though. The cat is so cute.
Finding glimmers of joy among daily difficulties is a such a positive thing to do. The vision board spunds very motivational.
Lovely that you found a new trail, and started running.
Such beauriful scenery on your walks!
Hope David had a lovely birthday. How nice to go out for brunch. Beautiful photos from your walks – what gorgeous blue skies. What a lovely idea for a link party – will try and join in. Love your wise words of the week. #project365
