Weekly Wisdoms #63

This was one of those weeks that felt long and short all at the same time. It felt like it took forever to get to Tuesday then it was suddenly Friday.

(Glimmers are micro-moments of joy that make us feel happy, hopeful, and safe.

  • It rained most of the weekend so all our plans were cancelled or postponed so we spent the weekend chilling. Sometimes it is necessary.
  • I read two books this week and have started an audiobook that I am absolutely loving.
  • I had a great walk – still only managed one this week thanks to the rain and my time constraints. It is frustrating but I am still getting out there.
  • Eve and I had a delicious breakfast this week. Going out for breakfast is my favourite thing to do. Its way better than dinner.
  • I made some washi tape from scraps of sticker paper – it was such a fun project and I LOVE being able to use up scraps.
  • Jack made us chicken nachos – it is always such a treat when he cooks!!

  1. Our week felt both long and short too. We had a couple of days without power after a big storm rolled through so those days in particular felt quite long but I was kind of surprised to realize it was already Friday this morning!

  2. It’s always a bonus to have someone else cook dinner! I’m all for going out to eat, although breakfast is rarely one we do. Thankfully we’ve had a sunny week here, but not looking forward to all the rain due next week.

  3. Sometimes you need a chilled weekend, and it sounds like you enjoyed yours.
One walk is better than none; it’s all progress, and I’m sure you will have time for plenty more in the future.
Your throwback photo is lovely, you all look so happy and smiley.

  4. As least you managed the one walk, which is how I look at it and it gave you the opportunity to catch up with some reading. It’s the middle of April here and we’re bouncing from fake spring back into full winter every other day at the moment. #project365 playing catch up with my commenting

  5. Shame about your plans being cancelled/postponed due to the rain but nice to have some time to chill. Glad you managed to get out for one walk at least. Making washi tape from scraps of sticker paper sounds like fun. What a lovely fun throwback photo. #project365
