Weekly Wisdoms #66

Short weeks are all fun and games until you have to try get back into the work rhythm. It is at times like this that I love that we work for ourselves a little more. We can slowly get back into things.

(Glimmers are micro-moments of joy that make us feel happy, hopeful, and safe.

  • We spent a lovely weekend in rural South Africa in a small (VERY small) town called Groot Marico on the farm of David’s mom’s cousin.
  • We managed a few walks around the farm which the dogs absolutely loved.
  • We had a lovely braai on Saturday night and watch the rugby.
  • We visited the Marico Oog while we were away – the drive there was a little crazy because it is literally in the middle of nowhere but it was worth it.
  • I read an entire book while we were away – it was sooo good.
  • Emma went away with her friend for 6 days – she had such a lovely time and saw lots of elephants.
  • I have entered the I Love Boobies challenge – the goal is to walk 120km in 6 weeks. I am very excited – its my first ever challenge/race vibe.
  • Every 2 months I receive a stationery box and my next box arrived early which was such a treat.
  • I decided to do my regular walk from the end to the beginning – it is actually a better walk that way.

  1. It’s funny how changing up the walk form end to beginning can make it seem completely different isn’t it? It sounds like you had a really lovely week!
