Word of the Week – Admin

I hate life admin! I find it so unnecessary and mind numbing. Logically I know it IS necessary but even, at 47 years old I still hate it.

This week was all about admin.

The massive petrol price increase meant I needed to redo our budget. And that’s all I am going to say about that.

We are trying to switch our home loan to a new service provider and they need so much paperwork. So I have had to try gather tax and income and bank statements and and for both David and I.

I signed Jack up for a photography course and there we issues with the links so lots of up and down trying to resolve.

This is sort of admin but a light came on in our car – it is usually for a flat tyre but none of the tyres look flat but it does mean a trip to the tyre place to have them check it out.

I have some admin left to deal with regarding Kiara’s old flat and it is killing me slowly but I think we are almost at the end of it.

My little social media business is coming to a close with a few of my long-term clients taking it inhouse, which honestly makes so much sense. So I spent time removing pages I no longer manage etc. I actually have needed to do this for ages but better late then never, right?

I hope you have an admin-free week!

  1. Yeah, I hate those weeks; I had one of those too with our federal and state taxes being due and just a tons of bill to pay all at once. Luckily it was fairly light admin work on my end but expensive.

  2. I few weeks ago I had a week filled with admin and feel the same about it. It is so unnecessary. I find it so annoying when one simple thing needs piles of paperwork. Ugh! I hope you get everything sorted soon.

  3. Oh I hate the admin I have to do. I used to enjoy it, but it’s so difficult now and sometimes I just don’t want to do it. I don’t envy you at all.

  4. Our tyre light keeps coming on in the van, it’s the tyre pressure monitor sensor battery that has gone and needs replacing but the whole unit is almost £100 so regular trips to check the tyre is inflated for now. Hope the paperwork with Kiara’s old flat is sorted soon. #wotw
