Weekly Wisdoms #54

What a week! So much for easing into the new year. We had something going on every single day of the week, including the weekend! I am looking forward to a quiet, calm day at home tomorrow.

(Glimmers are micro-moments of joy that make us feel happy, hopeful, and safe.)

  • My ladies group started up again on Sunday – it was a super easy walk and it rained the whole way but nice to back with my pack of middle aged misfits.
  • I went on a solo walk and it was glorious. I do love walking with dogs or David but a solo walk is food for the soul.
  • I had coffee with a friend going through a tough time – she is a big part of my support system here and it sucks shes struggling but we had such a good chat.
  • Emma had a sleepover which she absolutely loves.
  • We got a box of Christmas gifts from my mom – I love Christmas gifts after Christmas and the gifts were all so awesome.
  • David and I attempted a 15km hike and I would have made it but from about 9km it got incredibly hard – it went into a valley, then back up, then down again – the path was narrow and it felt like rock climbing at certain points. So we only made 12km which is still my longest hike so far and I am super chuffed. I also now know that I can definitely make an easier 15km walk.

I have also decided to start a new Link Party to celebrate our weekly glimmers. I would love for you to share a list of things that bought you joy the past week but it can also just be a post about the week, the day or whatever positive thing is going on in your life.

As per the Link Party rules – drop a link and visit a few of the other blogs and leave a comment.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

Toe beans from our little gangster kitten who now wanders our complex and visits everyone who allows him in. He comes home to nap, then heads out again.

Until next week!

  1. I had to come and read your glimmers, and who doesn’t love a photo of toe beans. I would like to join in and I should really give it some thought, but I find it hard to find positives sometimes. I do like reading others though.
