Weekly Wisdoms #58

Right then, so January did, obviously, eventually end. For that I am grateful. But we had a very sad start to the new month. David’s mom passed away on the 4 February. She had been sick for a while, so it was not completely unexpected but still a shock and a loss to us all. I wasn’t going to do this post this week. I had a very very heavy day on Friday but today feels a little lighter and despite the loss and sadness, there were moments of joy.

(Glimmers are micro-moments of joy that make us feel happy, hopeful, and safe.

  • My Sunday walk at Ubali was so lovely, it was a new trail and so pretty.
  • Jack had such a great rock climbing session. It is so special watching him grow into this passion.
  • I made a few mock ups for an idea a friend and I have for some gift boxes. It was a welcome distraction.
  • I found a little ice cream shop that only sells dairy free ice-cream. We are trying very hard to keep Emma dairy free so this was a great little find.
  • David’s aunt has been here and I am so grateful she was her for both David and his dad.
  • One of the teams we work with sent us a beautiful bunch of flowers.
  • I was, once again, so grateful that we work for ourselves and have the support and freedom to take as much time off as we need without worrying to much.

I have also decided to start a new Link Party to celebrate our weekly glimmers. I would love for you to share a list of things that bought you joy the past week but it can also just be a post about the week, the day or whatever positive thing is going on in your life.

As per the Link Party rules – drop a link and visit a few of the other blogs and leave a comment.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

A friend sent this to me and I can verify – it keeps breathing – every single minute of every single day.

Until next week!
