Weekly Wisdoms #61

I had grand plans to start this post on Thursday but here I am on Friday morning smashing it out. If I had started it yesterday I couldn’t have told you how David and I spent 4 hours in the ER last night until 1h30, He had chest pains which turned out (thankfully) to be acid reflux. I also couldn’t tell you that when we got home at 1h30 the power was out and because it rained most of yesterday the solar batteries couldn’t charge enough so we woke up to no power which meant no coffee. Despite how the week ended, it wasn’t actually a bad week overall!

(Glimmers are micro-moments of joy that make us feel happy, hopeful, and safe.

  • I led our Sunday walk for the first time and it went well!
  • I cleaned out my cupboard and listed a lot of items on Yaga (our local version of Vinted, I think) and sold most of the stuff almost immediately.
  • Kiara moved out of the flat she shared with Cameron and moved in to a little granny flat with my ex-sister-in-law. Organising the move was stressful for her (and me) but she seems a lot calmer now.
  • I had a few canvases printed – I have been wanting to do this for months and saw the company I used had a special on so just did it and I love the new photos up all over the house.
  • It rained intermittently almost every day this week. It meant I couldn’t walk but I loved the cooler, gray, rainy days.
  • We watched a rugby match on Saturday, my team lost but my second favourite team won so it was still a win and its always fun watching a game live.
  • Eve and I had such a great chat yesterday. Our weekly dates have really become like therapy for me.
  • We have been trying to get the car to a mechanic to fix an issue and finally got it done this week. Was not cheap but at least its done now.
  • I booked our June break – its a little road trip with the kids, ending with a celebration for Cameron’s birthday. I can not wait.

I have also decided to start a new Link Party to celebrate our weekly glimmers. I would love for you to share a list of things that bought you joy the past week but it can also just be a post about the week, the day or whatever positive thing is going on in your life.

As per the Link Party rules – drop a link and visit a few of the other blogs and leave a comment.

You are invited to the Inlinkz link party!

From the rugby on Saturday!

Some days you just have to make some coffee and be done!

Until next week!

  1. Oh my goodness; what a night! I am so glad it was acid reflux and not something seriously wrong. You never want to mess around with chest pain. I am so glad to hear the rest of the week went much better.
