Last week I mentioned I had asked my naturopath for help with my perimenopausal symptoms. I got the meds on Saturday and they have literally changed my life. By Wednesday I was able to spend the whole day focused and productive, something I haven’t been able to do in months. I am sleeping better and feel human again. If you are on the fence about getting help with your perimenopause – let this be your motivation. Find a health care provider you trust and get the help.
Glimmers
(Glimmers are micro-moments of joy that make us feel happy, hopeful, and safe.)
- I went horse riding on Saturday with my walking group. I can’t remember when last I was on horse – or even I actually ever was, so I was a little nervous but we had such a lovely time. The horse were calm and we rode past giraffe and a whole lot of different antelope. So glad I just said yes.
- Emma is busy with tests at “school” and she is doing so well. Despite us basically unschooling her for the last 2 and a half years, she is now testing above average for her age/grade.
- Thanks to a twisted ankle, I only walked this morning but it was so lovely. David and the dogs came with and we had a delicious breakfast afterwards. I love that we get to have these impromptu dates.
- I had to have some routine tests done, one of them was checking my weight, which I last did in Feb this year. I am a whole TEN KILOGRAMS lighter!!!!! I have been feeling it in my clothes but to see the number change on the scale was so affirming. I have written about how I lost the weight.
Picture of the Week
I have decided to change this section up and add in my favourite photo of the week. I am not actually in this shot but I was there. We came so close to these giraffe while out on our horse ride.

Wise Words of the Week

Words of the Week
I am joining up with the Word of the Week link party this week so my word for the week would have to be RELIEF. I have had such relief this week from what felt like my body staging a muting. There has been relief from not sleeping properly, not being able to focus, not being able to function. Relief from feeling like I had no idea what was happening with anything.
Until next week!

Congrats on the weight loss and the meds working; both I bet go a HUGE way to making you feel so much better. I am not one to go horseback riding either but that sounds like a fun outing and oh so neat to get so close to the giraffes.
